Chivas USA 3, Dynamo 2 -- quote sheet

CHIVAS USA 3, HOUSTON DYNAMO 2

CHIVAS USA HEAD COACH BOB BRADLEY

On conference rivalries:
"I think everybody understands all these games are getting more important. In that regard, we know our big rivals now, Houston, in our conference. Obviously these games are important: against Dallas coming up, and we all know the game versus the Galaxy."

On Chivas USA going for the Western Conference title:
"We are going to play every team in our conference down the stretch and the team that plays the best is the team that finishes with the best stretch of games. That certainly can be us."

On the referee's decision not to call a penalty at the end:
"The first one may not have been a penalty. That's the way soccer works sometimes."

CHIVAS USA STRIKER ANTE RAZOV

On the importance of his two goals versus the three points:
"The win is the most important because this is the biggest game of the year for us. A conference opponent and everything is very tight now, so the most important thing is that we got three points, a big win for us tonight."

On the fact that Chivas USA played whitout three starters:
"We have some injuries and guys suspended, but that shows that we have some players that can come out of the bench and help us, which is something that's going to help the team down the stretch."

CHIVAS USA FORWARD JESUS MORALES

On his debut:
"I feel great about my debut tonight because we won the game, thank God. I feel good with my contribution to the victory and that's what I come to this team for."

On his understanding with the rest of the team:
"It was a little bit difficult at the begining due to the language barrier, but we got going with some screaming, signs and moves. At the end, it was not a factor, because I believe that we have a great team."

On the good moves in the second half with Jonathan Bornstein:
"It was easy, he's a great player. His passing was perfect, his passes always put me in a good position to take on my markers."

HOUSTON DYNAMO HEAD COACH DOMINIC KINNEAR

On the game:
"I feel sad for my team because they worked hard. We know the problem tonight, it started early with tackles from behind that weren't punished, and then a player pushes our player, our player retaliates and gets sent off. I don't know why the other player came running in and got involved but there was no punishment there, so I'm not saying that our player lifting his hands was a great idea but when people run at you, you have to defend yourself. There was no punishment, and I think that was from the stuff that was getting thrown around early. Obviously the talking point that you guys are all going to ask me is the last play of the game, and I think everyone in this room unless they're blind or a complete, 100 percent Chivas fan, knows what the answer is. For me, it's a penalty kick, and I think all of you would agree with me. I'm not going to hide from my displeasure with the performance of the man in the middle. It's two weeks in a row that we've had major decisions going against us, and it's taking points away from us, and it's taking money away from us, but there seems to be no answer."

On the result:
"I think my team showed great character in the second half, trying to get back into the game especially going 3-1 down. We were going to give chances to Chivas, hopefully they weren't going to take advantage of them and they didn't, and then we fought well to get back into the game. I think we should be sitting here where if we lost 3-2 it's a missed penalty kick or a saved penalty kick. But I think we should be sitting here 3-3, and that's my opinion. I think you can say I'm honest and I think that the excuse I got from the official was a pretty comical one where he said that the player actually played the ball. I think that we all with two eyes and decent vision know that wasn't the case."

On Dwayne De Rosario's play:
"He was OK. Great run there at the end. It's difficult when you only have 10 men. I felt that not just Dwayne but all the guys tried their hardest and that's all you can ask. I saw our team get down to 10 men and it was a little different. I think for us to go on the road and actually come out in the second half with an attacking formation and then go back to a little more conservative formation to try to rest a little bit and then try and go back to a more attacking formation showed the energy they had, the commitment they had. That's why I feel sick to my stomach for them, because for all their work and all their effort there should be something earned."

HOUSTON DYNAMO MIDFIELDER DWAYNE DE ROSARIO

On the last play of the game:
"I think that's a good sign of poor officiating. [Ricardo Clark's] ejection was due to bad refereeing. If he had pulled out a card earlier, it wouldn't have boiled up like that, and for Ricardo to act like that. It's no surprise to me because this always happens to us, poor officiating, I don't know what it is. We can lose our job for playing bad but they can't lose their job for reffing like that. It's sad to see that."

HOUSTON DYNAMO MIDFIELDER BRAD DAVIS

On the game:
"We're very disappointed. First of all, the first 20 minutes [Ricardo Clark] got sent off. I think that could've been a yellow card but still in that situation a little disappointing that he reacts that way. You've got to be able to keep your head in a situation like that, and we go down to 10 men. From that point on the character of our team, we battled. If you'd have turned on the TV in the second half you'd never know we only had 10 men. I don't know how many times this year that's happened to us, but it's gotten to a point where we don't care to say it anymore but the officiating has been absolutely terrible towards us. Absolutely terrible. For him to be able to call the first penalty and not call that penalty and for him to say [Jason Hernandez] played the ball, it's ridiculous."

On the pressure in the Western Conference:
"I think the pressure is as thick as it can get for us right now. We're in a little bit of a rut right now and mentally it's pretty tough on us. Obviously we think about the points but right now we've got to take it game by game and get our mentality back. We know we can get through this together as a team, and it would help if we had some calls go our way."

On Chicago this Wednesday:
"Just like every game this year we're going to play to win and play to get three points."
