Burn look to end four-game skid

The Burn will play its final match of a three-game road stint as they travel to Giants Stadium to face the MetroStars on Saturday, June 5 at 6:30 p.m. (CT). Saturday's match will be televised live on Fox Sports Net with Brad Sham on play-by-play and Dave Dir providing color commentary. The MetroStars (3-1-4, 13 points) are tied for first in the East while the Burn (2-4-2, 8 points) are in fifth in the West.

BURN/METROSTARS SERIES NOTES
The all-time series between the Burn and the MetroStars is tied at 10-10-1 ... the Metros took two of three from Dallas last year, winning 2-1 on May 24 and July 19 and drawing 0-0 on October 11 ... the Metros currently have a four-game unbeaten streak vs. the Burn (3-0-1) after the Burn had won the previous four matches ... 11 of the 21 games in the series have been decided by one goal ... Jason Kreis has 11 goals and six assists for 28 points in 20 career games vs. the MetroStars.


BURN IN MIDST OF FOUR-GAME SKID
After starting the season with a four-game unbeaten streak, the Burn has currently lost a team-record-tying four consecutive matches. The team has lost four consecutive matches on five other occasions, including two times last year. During their current four-game skid, the Burn has been outscored 11-3. Conversely, in their first four matches of the season, the Burn conceded only one goal while scoring four.


GIBBS WITH NATIONAL TEAM FOR MATCH VS. HONDURAS
Burn defender Cory Gibbs departed Sunday morning for Foxboro, Massachusetts to join the US National Team for a friendly vs. Honduras on Wednesday at Gillette Stadium. The match will serve as a final warm-up before 2006 World Cup qualifying kicks off June 13 against Grenada in Columbus. Gibbs will return to Dallas on Thursday to prepare for Saturday's match at the MetroStars.


BURN TO FACE DFW TORNADOES TONIGHT IN GRAPEVINE
The Burn will square off against the DFW Tornados of the Premier Development League on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. at Mustang Panther Stadium in Grapevine. Admission to the match is $5.
