Almeria staged a superb late comeback to earn a share of the spoils from their trip to Getafe, whose wait for a first home win of the season continues.
Getafe looked to be heading for all three points when substitute Ikechuwku Uche and captain Javi Casquero scored twice in four minutes midway through the second half.
However, it was to end in disappointment for Victor Munoz's side as Almeria struck back to net twice in the dying minutes through headers from Alvaro Negredo and Chico to salvage a draw at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
There was little for either set of fans to get excited about early on, with the first shot on target not arriving until the 26th minute.
Even then it was a poor one, with Joffre Guerron wasting a decent Getafe move down the right with a timid shot that was no problem for Diego Alves in the visiting goal.
After that Almeria had a couple of half-chances, with substitute Albert Crusat looking particularly lively, but there was no real threat to Jacobo in the home goal.
Arguably the best chance of a low-key first half fell to Getafe just before the break, and stemmed from an Almeria back-pass.
Herman Pellerano did his goalkeeper no favours with a heavy pass from inside the box that seemed to surprise Alves, whose attempt to control the ball was equally unimpressive and Getafe forward Manu del Moral should have taken advantage.
But, after racing in on the loose ball, he blazed his shot high over the bar from close range.
Quick thinking by Negredo at the start of the second half almost created the opening goal for Almeria.
Negredo won a throw-in on the left and took it himself after spotting the run of team-mate Ortiz, who had ghosted in behind the Getafe defense, but he was unable to beat Jacobo.
The game was starting to open up, though, and Alves had to make saves from both Lucas Licht and Cata Diaz.
The signs were looking good for Getafe at that stage, and life was about to get much much better as Munoz's side stuck twice to take a stranglehold on the game.
Both efforts were well-worked goals, with the first seeing Uche race onto a clever flick by Manu before cutting inside a defender and slotting past Alves.
The second goal was similarly clinical, with Juan Albin playing in Casquero, who powered through the centre of the Almeria defense before firing a shot into the roof of the net.
The hosts almost made it 3-0 in the 78th minute when Albin and Manu combined well, but the latter's effort was turned behind for a corner by Alves.
Getafe could not kill the game off, though, and Almeria stunned the home side with two late goals.
The highly-rated Negredo was involved in both, first heading in Julio Alvarez's cross to give Almeria a lifeline, and then setting up Chico for an injury-time equalizer.
Jacabo failed to get much distance on his punch from a corner, and Negredo helped the ball back into the danger area where Chico glanced it into the net to tie the game up at 2-2.
