EDITOR'S NOTE: As part of MLS Unites, a league-wide platform launched in partnership with the MLS Players Association that highlights the efforts of players, coaches, the clubs and the league during the COVID-19 pandemic, MLS will be featuring themed weeks across its platforms. This week's theme is Fitness and Wellness. Over the coming days, MLSsoccer.com will be showcasing content to provide inspiration for how to remain physically and mentally healthy while social distancing.

After helping kickstart the #StayAtHome skills challenge, Tommy Thompson continues to offer resources for players who are house-ridden during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thompson, a San Jose Earthquakes defender, recently shared dozens of skill tutorial videos on YouTube. The videos range from a few seconds in length to over a minute. Each exercise just requires a ball, a few cones and some open space.

Thompson, 24, signed a Homegrown Player deal with the Earthquakes before the 2014 season. He’s since made 125 first-team appearances with three goals and five assists and has enjoyed a breakout role under head coach Matias Almeyda.

Ever-active in the community, now Thompson is putting his coach hat on to help youngsters keep their skills sharp as they await soccer's return.
