The Skills

After the success of last year's event (check out the video above for a reminder), the 2020 MLS All-Star Skills Challenge will see the addition of two skills to make it a 90-minute spectacle that will showcase the best of MLS and Liga MX across five skills:

Shooting

The pressure is on and accuracy is key as each team takes shots on goal, attempting to hit targets with varying point values based on degree of difficulty.

Touch

Players' touch is tested as the ball is launched at varying levels of distance and trajectory to see who has the ability to showcase ultimate control.

Cross and Volley

Technique and creativity will be on display as each player showcases his ability to score dynamic goals. Players will receive a series of crosses served in by their teammates, attempting to finish their chances while the opposing team’s goalkeepers attempt to defend the goal. Additional style points will be awarded based on the creativity in the player’s finishing ability.

Passing

Each team is on the clock to score as many points as possible in two minutes, showing off a range of passing as they hit targets varying in difficulty.

Crossbar Challenge

The finale from Skills Challenge 2019 returns in a standalone challenge to help crown the winner of this year’s event. You can guarantee another epic ending as players' accuracy is tested to hit the crossbar before their time runs out.
