The Vancouver Whitecaps return to BC Place looking to snap a five-match winless streak when they host Western Conference foes Sporting Kansas City Saturday night.

The Whitecaps (4-8-8) are coming off a 6-1 loss at LAFC, their second straight defeat. Yordy Reyna opened the scoring early, but the hosts leveled on an Andy Rose own goal before erupting for five unanswered goals to avenge an earlier loss at Vancouver.

Sporting (5-7-7) rebounded from consecutive losses to defeat the Chicago Fire at Children's Mercy Park Saturday night. Yohan Croizet scored the lone goal in the 14th minute on a counterattack, his second goal of the week.

The teams played to a 1-1 draw in Kansas City on May 18 with Derek Cornelius leveling in second-half stoppage time after Krisztian Nemeth put the hosts in front in the first half.
