2018 MLS All-Star Game opponent Juventus linked to Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo - Real Madrid - Celebrating

How can one of soccer's biggest stars follow up on helping Real Madrid become the first team to win Europe's top club prize three years in a row? Perhaps by embarking on a new adventure.

Reports have emerged this week that Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo could be headed to Juventus for the upcoming season. Juventus, who will take on the MLS All-Stars at the 2018 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target in Atlanta on August 1, have won the last seven Serie A league titles. But they haven't taken the Champions League since 1996.

A report from Spanish outlet AS on Thursday claims Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed to personal terms with Juventus, but Juve would either have to activate the Portuguese star's release clause or come to terms with Real Madrid for the player's transfer.

The story seems far from done at this point. Whether a deal gets done or not, it's the story to watch when Juventus arrive in North America ahead of their All-Star Game appearance.
