MLS Disciplinary Committee fines four players, warns two teams

The MLS Disciplinary Committee has issued four fines and a warning following Week 4 of the 2018 MLS regular season.


Castillo simulation/embellishment

The Disciplinary Committee has found Colorado Rapids defender Edgar Castillo guilty of simulation/embellishment. The incident took place in the 72nd minute of the Rapids match against Sporting Kansas City on March 24. As a result, Castillo has been fined an undisclosed amount.


Ziegler simulation/embellishment

The Disciplinary Committee has found FC Dallas defender Reto Ziegler guilty of simulation/embellishment. The incident occurred in the 65th minute of Dallas’ match against Seattle Sounders FC on March 18. Ziegler has been fined an undisclosed amount.


Adams simulation

The Disciplinary Committee has found New York Red Bulls midfielder Tyler Adams guilty of simulation. The incident happened in the 17th minute of New York’s match against Real Salt Lake on March 17. As a result, Adams has been fined an undisclosed amount.


Waston failure to leave field in orderly manner

The Disciplinary Committee has found Vancouver Whitecaps FC defender Kendall Waston guilty of failure to leave field in orderly manner. The incident took place in the 13th minute of Vancouver’s match against Atlanta United FC on March 17.


Atlanta United, Vancouver Whitecaps mass confrontation

The Disciplinary Committee has found Atlanta United and the Vancouver Whitecaps in violation of the Mass Confrontation Policy during postgame proceedings of their match on March 17. Atlanta and Vancouver have been issued warnings for each club’s first violation of the league’s policy this season.
