MLS clubs to volunteer over 84,000 hours in Greener Goals Week of Service

They might be rivals on weekends, but for one whole week MLS clubs will be joining forces in defending a common color: green.

For the first time, the league’s charitable arm, MLS WORKS, will bring together all 20 teams and league staff for over 84,000 hours of volunteer work as part of the first-ever Greener Goals Week of Service from April 18-23 in the lead-up to Earth Day.

Beginning on April 18, over 1,000 league and club staff members will take part in community initiatives and environmental awareness and educational campaigns which support and promote the importance of environmental sustainability for a cleaner and healthier world.
