Rumor Central: Former English Premier League striker Luke Moore linked to Chivas USA move

One of the most punchless attacks in MLS last year may be in line for an upgrade.

Reports in England claim that Chivas USA is the destination for out-of-contract English striker Luke Moore, who played in the English Premier League for Aston Villa, West Bromwich Albion and Swansea City (check out his career stats here).

The 27-year-old most recently played for Turkish club Elazigspor, which released the forward from his contract in January after struggling to meet its financial obligations. He was initially linked with a return to the EPL, but the LA Galaxy and Chicago Fire were also reportedly in the running at one point.

"Chivas USA will not comment on any player who is not an official member of our roster," was the statement from a spokesperson for the Goats.

But Moore's agent told Sky Sports that "this chance came in for him to move to America and was just too good for him to turn down."

The Rojiblancos currently count on Erick "El Cubo" Torres, Adolfo "El Bofo" Bautista, Matthew Fondy and teenager Caleb Calvert in their forward corps following a season in which the club put away only 30 goals in 34 matches.
