His overhead kick against D.C. United last season is nearly a mirror image of a goal he scored against the Columbus Crew two years prior.
McBride, who is still scoring goals both for the U.S. national team and his current club Fulham FC of the English Premier League, worked his way into the final group with a flick-on header to himself and a cool volley home. McBride is tied with current Real Salt Lake striker Jeff Cunningham for the all-time lead in goals for the Crew with 62.
Wolyniec scored his Goal of the Decade-nominated goal as a member of the MetroStars, his hometown club. The Staten Island, N.Y., native got on the end of a long ball over the Crew defense in 2003 and smashed home a spectacular game-winning goal in overtime, hitting a full volley on the run into the far-side netting.
The fifth nominee, and the most recent, comes from the lethal right foot of De Rosario. The Canadian international struck a wickedly-swerving free kick from about 30 yards that flew into the top corner of the net when playing last year for the San Jose Earthquakes.
One of these five goals will soon earn the honor of being named the Sierra Mist MLS Goal of the Decade. Only one goal can be voted on per ballot, but up to 10 votes a day may be cast by any one voter.
