Taty Castellanos moved closer to making another piece of Major League Soccer history on Sunday evening – if he's here long enough, that is.
2021: Castellanos enjoyed a breakout campaign in 2021 that ultimately saw him secure the MLS Golden Boot award. A season littered with memorable moments and goals, the striker finished the regular season with 19 goals and 8 assists. 2019: The Argentine appeared in 30 matches for NYCFC, scoring 11 goals and seven assists. Taty helped the club with scoring goals in high pressure situations to tie up the game or to secure the win. He broke City’s record for fastest goal in club history and earned his first U-23 international call up after a successful season which also saw him voted as NYCFC's Breakthrough Player of the Year by fans.
2018: Valentín Castellanos joins NYCFC on loan.
2017: Valentín was loaned out to CA Torque for 12 months, representing the Uruguayan team on 19 occasions, scoring three goals which helped the team achieve promotion to the First Division.
