Career Summary

The 22-year-old defender joined Minnesota from AFC Eskilstuna of Superettan in Sweden, where he played in 28 of 30 games and provided two assists during the 2022-23 season. Marques made one appearance with MNUFC’s first team in 2023 against the Vancouver Whitecaps, but spent the majority of his season with MNUFC2 after rehabbing injuries to his shoulder and ankle. With the Twos, Marques played in 13 matches, starting 11, and provided three assists. 

Marques began his professional career with IFK Malmö of the Swedish second division in 2017, where he played 38 games and scored one goal through 2019. In 2020, the center back signed with Jönköpings Södra IF. He spent two seasons with the club, playing 21 games, before joining AFC Eskilstuna in 2022.
