HOW ACQUIRED: Selected in the first round (No. 7 overall) of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft.

Polster's transition to right back from center midfield emerged as an integral part of the Chicago Fire's 2017 run. But even in this more defensive role, his midfield instincts served him well as he tallied a career high 7 assists. He will be an important piece for Chicago in 2018.

INTERNATIONAL: Polster was a key part of the US Under-23 team at the CONCACAF Olympic qualifying tournament, starting all five of the Americans’ matches in the competition. He participated in the USMNT’s annual January camp in 2016. He earned a senior appearance in early 2018 against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

COLLEGE: Tallied six goals and 12 assists in 79 matches – all starts – during his four-year career at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. A 2014 NSCAA All-West Region First-Team selection, he played one college summer with the Chicago Fire PDL squad.
