Vancouver Whitecaps' Camilo takes Week 17's Player of the Week for brace, assist vs. Chivas

Camilo Sanvezzo

As far as individual dominating performances go, few this season will match up to the latest from Vancouver Whitecaps forward Camilo.

Camilo enjoyed arguably his best outing of the season last Wednesday, as he scored two goals and had one assist in the Vancouver Whitecaps' 3-1 victory over Chivas USA last Wednesday.

The impressive showing resulted in him being named Week 17's MLS Player of the Week as voted by the North American Soccer Reporters, marking the second straight time a Vancouver player has won the award after Kenny Miller claimed Week 16's honors. (See how the NASR voted here.)

The Brazilian, who has been in red-hot form in recent weeks, first helped set up the equalizer in the 47th minute of the game at BC Place before scoring his first two minutes later. Camilo then punctuated his performance with an 81st-minute strike that assured Vancouver they would pick up three points in the Western Conference clash.
