FOXBOROUGH, Mass. --
New England Revolution goalkeeper Doug Warren has been placed on the season-ending injury list after suffering a right elbow injury.
Warren, 27, will miss the remainder of the 2008 season while he rehabilitates his hyperextended right elbow, which he suffered during training on Tuesday, Sept. 16.
Warren made three MLS appearances in goal in 2008, earning a 1-0-1 record with a 2.09 goals against average. He made his first league appearance since 2005 when he entered the Revs' game at San Jose on Aug. 16, and started the team's next two league matches. In all competitions this season, Warren made seven appearances, going 2-2-2 with a 1.64 goals against average in MLS, U.S. Open Cup and CONCACAF Champions League matches.
The Revolution (12-8-7, 43 pts.) is currently second in the Eastern Conference and travels to the Kansas City Wizards on Saturday, Oct. 11. The teams will meet at 8 p.m. ET at CommunityAmerica Ballpark in a match that will be televised by TV38, and broadcast by WRKO 680 AM (tape-delayed).
