It appears LAFC have finally landed Andre Horta.

ESPN reported Sunday that the the Benfica midfielder will sign as the expansion club's third Designated Player, following Carlos Vela and Diego Rossi.

With Horta currently on loan at SC Braga, according to ESPN's Jeff Carlisle, it appears unlikely he would be able to officially join LAFC until the secondary transfer window opens on July 10, as his reporting indicates the chance Braga will cancel the loan deal before the end of the Primeira Liga season are "slim."

Metro's Kristian Dyer first reported Saturday that Benfica had reached a deal with MLS for the midfielder. The 21-year-old Horta would command a transfer fee of around $7 million, according to ESPN.

LAFC have been linked to the Portuguese youth international for some time, with MLSsoccer.com's Sam Stejskal reporting last month that the club were trying to sign Horta before the season began.
