Toronto FC lost their starting goalkeeper and best player to injury late in the game, and then they were stunned by a penalty in the final minute of stoppage time in a 3-2 road loss to Orlando City SC at Camping World Stadium on Saturday night.
The visitors thought they escaped with a draw after Justin Morrow scored in the 90th minute to tie the score, 2-2. But with a second-half water break and an injury to Toronto goalkeeper Clint Irwin, there was plenty of stoppage time, and in the eighth minute of stoppage, Toronto's Drew Moor was called for pulling down Julio Baptista in the box. The referee pointed to the spot, and – after Toronto's Josh Williams was shown a red card for protests – Kaka blasted the penalty into the roof of the net in the 100th minute of play to give Orlando the win.

- SUDDEN EXIT: It was a routine goal kick, but Toronto FC goalkeeper Clint Irwin went down instantly and in obvious pain and it was immediately evident he would not continue. Irwin had been Toronto's best player to that point, having made three saves in the first 70 minutes. Backup goalkeeper Alex Bono was pressed into action without any warmup. Bono, TFC's 2015 1st Round SuperDraft pick (6th overall), allowed two goals and made no saves, although one goal came on Kaka's penalty in the 100th minute.
- WHAT DID HE SAY? If you're going to get a red card, getting one in the second-to-last minute of stoppage time is probably the best time to get it, because you don't end up actually having to play a man down. Still, you have to wonder just exactly what Josh Williams said to earn a straight red after referee Ismail Elfath awarded a penalty to Orlando following Drew Moor's takedown of Julio Baptista.
- OH CANADA: It's gotta hurt Canadian fans to watch Brampton, Ontario's own Cyle Larin score the game's first goal against their Toronto squad. It could have been more, too. Larin hit the right post in the 38th minute. At least Canada fans got to see Scarborough, Ontario's Jordan Hamilton cancel that one when he netted his first MLS tally for TFC.
