Grant Wahl remembered: MLS clubs pay tribute on Matchday 1

At home openers on MLS is Back weekend, every club reserved a press box seat in honor of the late Grant Wahl, who impacted countless people in MLS and the world of soccer.

Wahl, 49, tragically passed away on Dec. 9 while covering the FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Last month, Wahl was posthumously named the recipient of the 2023 Colin Jose Media Award, which honors journalists whose careers have made significant long-term contributions to soccer in the United States.
