Galaxy Fantasy Camp kicks off Wednesday

The Fourth Annual LA Galaxy Fantasy Camp will kick off on Wednesday, December 17 at The Home Depot Center. Galaxy alumni, including former Galaxy and U.S. National Team stars Dan Calichman, Paul Caligiuri and Greg Vanney, 2008 MLS Cup winner Ezra Hendrickson and former Galaxy assistant coach Ralph Perez will be in attendance at the camp. Additionally, 2008 MLS Rookie of the Year Sean Franklin will stop by to help out with drills and give campers a look inside the life of a professional soccer player.

Just as in past seasons, this year's five-day event will see Galaxy fans from around the world participate in this incredible event. The 40 participants come from six different states and three foreign countries, including campers from England, France and Nigeria making the trip to Carson for this year's festivities. Additionally, this year's edition sees the return of 24 participants from the first three years of the Fantasy Camp, including six who have participated every year of the camp's existence.

Designed to give Galaxy fans a first-hand glimpse into the life of a professional soccer player, participants will train two times a day, have access to the Galaxy locker room including the player's lounge, training room, and will be served a nutritious lunch everyday of the camp. On the last day, the squads will be split into two groups and play a full 90-minute match inside the Track and Field Stadium at The Home Depot Center.

With Christmas just around the corner, fans can still take advantage of the LA Galaxy Holiday pack, a great deal which includes four tickets to the season opener against D.C. United on March 22 at The Home Depot Center, two Galaxy scarves and one holiday card from the Galaxy.
