Chivas USA to train in Guadalajara starting Monday

CARSON, Calif. --
Chivas USA will take its first preseason trip to Mexico since 2005, the club's inaugural year, the MLS team announced Friday. The Red-and-White will spend ten days in Guadalajara, training from Feb. 9-17 at the Verde Valle complex that is home to Mexican partner club Chivas de Guadalajara. Under the direction of Head Coach Preki, a traveling squad of 20 players is scheduled to depart this Sunday from Los Angeles to Guadalajara, where the team will hold its first practice session Monday morning.

Chivas USA's first training session is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 9 at 11:00 a.m. CT at Verde Valle (Field TBD), with mixed-zone availability for media following practice. A full calendar of the team's activities in Guadalajara will be released at the beginning of next week. Updates on Chivas USA's preseason trip to Guadalajara will be available on the team's website, cdchivasusa.com, as well as the team's official bilingual blog, Dentro del Rebaño (Inside the Flock).
