Chicago Fire FC vs. New York Red Bulls match enters weather delay

UPDATE 1 – The clubs are planning to resume play after 10:15 pm ET, and will complete first-half stoppage time. Then halftime will last three minutes, with teams remaining on the field.

ORIGINAL – Saturday evening's Week 9 match between Chicago Fire FC and the New York Red Bulls at Soldier Field has entered a weather delay in first-half stoppage time (45'+3') due to inclement weather in the area.

Chicago, thanks to a 17th-minute penalty kick from star midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri, hold a 1-0 lead.
