American Exports: Sacha Kljestan works full shift as Anderlecht admit midfielder available for fair offer

Anderlecht's Sacha Kljestan tangles with Lucas of PSG

AMSTERDAM – Sacha Kljestan helped Belgian champs Anderlecht head into the holiday break with momentum, going the distance in a 4-0 thrashing of visiting Westerlo on Friday night.

The midfielder, who manager Besnik Hasi recently declared available for a fair offer, put in perhaps his most complete league shift of the season to date. Kljestan helped set up Aleksandar Mitrović to nod just over in the 21st minute, and would later feed the Serbia striker in order for him to assist on Dennis Praet's picturesque 82nd minute insurance tally.

Thanks to their third straight victory, the Mauves stayed within four points of leaders Club Brugge. They will resume play with a January 18 visit from Lierse.
