– Expansion clubs Inter Miami CF and Nashville SC traded up from the last two positions to the top two positions for today’s Stage 1 of the Re-Entry Process. In addition to Miami and Nashville making new player selections, Sporting Kansas City and the New York Red Bulls also acquired new talent during Stage 1 of the Re-Entry Process.
Per Prior trade with FC Cincinnati, Miami exchanged their No. 26 pick for No. 1, which Miami used to select former Atlanta United defender Mikey Ambrose.
Nashville SC selected former New York City FC defender Eric Miller with the second pick after Nashville traded up from No. 25 to No. 2, sending Vancouver Whitecaps FC their natural second round pick in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas.
Each selecting goalkeepers, Sporting Kansas City picked up Richard Sanchez, formerly of the Chicago Fire FC, and the New York Red Bulls acquired Kendall McIntosh, formerly of the Portland Timbers.
