FC Dallas are hoping to clinch one of the final two remaining spots in the Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs when they host upset-minded Sporting Kansas City in a Decision Day presented by AT&T clash at Toyota Stadium.
FC Dallas (12-12-9) are looking to rebound from a 3-0 defeat to the Colorado Rapids in Week 30 that extended a winless skid to four consecutive games. Goals by Jack Price and Diego Rubio gave the Rapids a 2-0 lead at the break and Kei Kamara tacked on a 72nd-minute insurance goal.
Sporting Kansas City (10-15-8) have already been eliminated from postseason contention, but snapped a four-match losing streak with a feisty 2-2 draw against the Portland Timbers. Krisztian Nemeth leveled one minute after Sebastian Blanco's opening goal. Daniel Salloi put SKC in front one minute after halftime, but Dairon Asprilla equalized from the penalty spot five minutes from full time.
In the first meeting this season, Dominique Badji and Jesus Ferreira scored 20 minutes apart in each half to secure FC Dallas' 2-0 win at Children's Mercy Park July 20.
