TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report

Aaron Long has become a hot item in this summer's transfer window, with English club West Ham reported to have made multiple offers for the New York Red Bulls center back and reigning MLS Defender of the Year, with a bid of around $3 million apparently having been rejected by RBNY and other European sides also interested.

That interest is mutual, the 26-year-old confirmed in an appearance this week on BS The Podcast, the show hosted by Sporting Kansas City midfielder Benny Feilhaber and recently-retired MLS veteran Sal Zizzo.

"I don't know, man. I have no idea when I'm going, where I'm going, if I'm going at all," said Long of a potential move abroad. "All I know is that offers have came in and got rejected right now by the Red Bulls.

"For sure," responded Long when asked whether he desired such a move. "Obviously itā€™s a Prem team that made an offer and Iā€™m sure the same is for you guys, what a dream it would be to play in that league ā€¦ since I was young Iā€™ve been watching them. It would be a dream, for sure."

Feilhaber's former Sporting teammate Ike Opara, now with Minnesota United, came on and asked Long several questions, as he does every episode, including whether he'd prefer to be in his current spot in six months time or overseas.

"I think I would rather be abroad, taking my game to the next level," said Long after some indecision.
