NYCFC U-19s get six-goal win over New York Red Bulls counterpart

There have been some great moments in the NY Derby since NYCFC entered MLS in 2015, but the blue side of New York was on the wrong side of the most notable result to date, a 7-0 thrashing by the New York Red Bulls on May 21, 2016 at Yankee Stadium.

That game, since dubbed the "Red Wedding" by Red Bulls fans, has loomed large. But the NYCFC academy posted a result at the weekend that could signal a future turn of the tide.

NYCFC's U-19 team blasted their Red Bulls counterparts by a 6-0 scoreline on Saturday in U.S. Soccer Development Academy play, with Jonathan Jimenez scoring four goals for the Cityzens in the romp. First-team midfielder Justin Haak featured in the match for the Cityzens.

We'll have to see which of these players see action in MLS in the future, and who could write the next chapters in the rivalry.
