Austin FC announced on Friday the addition of 15 individuals hired for the front office and operations staff as the club prepares for a launch in Major League Soccer in 2021.
Among those appointed is former MLS defender Tyson Wahl, to serve as the academy general manager. Wahl, who becomes the first member of Austin's technical staff, played in MLS from 2006-16 for five teams, making 160 career MLS regular-season appearances and winning three consecutive U.S. Open Cups with the Seattle Sounders.
The appointments come a day after Austin FC announced the appointment of Andy Loughnane as club president.
