International Roundup: Polo, Dockal assist while Burke, Movsisyan score

Andy Polo chases Aaron Long - USA Peru

October's international window saw plenty of MLSers star for their countries. We've well covered the exploits of American and Canadian players, so, what happened for the other MLSers across the globe in the past few days?

Polo, Peruvians shine in Hartford

In the USMNT's 1-1 draw with Peru on Tuesday evening, the Stars & Stripes weren't the only MLS-influenced team. Portland's Andy Polo played 89 minutes and set up his team's lone goal, a lovely low cross to the back post for a tap in. Alongside Polo, NYCFC's Alexander Callens played the full 90 as did Seattle's Raul Ruidiaz. Orlando's Yoshi Yotun and Vancouver's Yordy Reyna entered as second half substitutes.

Reggae Boyz

In Jamaica's 6-0 Concacaf Nations League win over Bonaire on Sunday, MLS players were well represented. Union's Andre Blake kept the clean sheet while Cory Burke and Dane Kelly goals bookended the scoring. Darren Mattocks started and played 58 minutes, though was unable to find the back of the net.

MLSers across Europe

Following his two-assist outing against Slovakia on Saturday, Philadelphia's Borek Dockal and the Czech Republic couldn't replicate the trick as they fell 1-0 to Ukraine on Tuesday. The Czech captain went the full 90 minutes, but his side suffered a defeat that throws a wrench in their chances of gaining promotion to the top tier of the UEFA Nations League.

There was more joy to be found for RSL's Albert Rusnak, who helped Slovakia bounce back from Saturday's loss by scoring a late equalizer in their 1-1 friendly draw with Sweden. Chicago's Yura Movsisyan also got on the scoresheet on Tuesday, his effort coming in Armenia's 4-0 Nations League win over Macedonia on Tuesday.

Although he didn't replicate his two-goal outing on Saturday and failed to convert an early penalty kick, San Jose's Vako nonetheless went the full 90 minutes as Georgia posted a 3-0 win at Latvia on Tuesday to secure promotion to the third tier of the Nations League.

And in other Concacaf action…

New England's Zachary Herivaux grabbed an assist in Haiti's 2-1 Nations League win over St. Lucia on Tuesday evening, where Red Bulls' Derrick Etienne Jr. also had an assist as Les Grenadiers stayed on course for a berth in the 2019 Gold Cup and top tier of the 2019-20 Concacaf Nations League.

Elsewhere on Tuesday, Kendall Waston scored for Costa Rica in their 3-1 loss to Colombia in a friendly played at Red Bull Arena.

D.C. duo Junior Moreno (Venezuela) and Ulises Segura (Costa Rica) each featured for their countries off the bench. Loons' captain Francisco Calvo played 90 minutes for Costa Rica against Mexico, where NYCFC's Ronald Matarrita came off the bench before starting their next game, while Portland's David Guzman started both.

Another MLS-heavy team was in action during the break, and Red Bulls' Michael Murillo played every available minute in Panama's two games, as did San Jose duo Anibal Godoy and Harold Cummings

Nico Lodeiro (Uruguay) and Sebastian Giovinco (Italy) were called up but didn't feature for their countries.
