FC Cincinnati and special guests will hold a special event on Tuesday, May 29, to make a significant announcement about the future of soccer in Cincinnati.

MLS Commissioner Don Garber will be present, along with Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley, FCC majority owner Carl H. Lindner III and club President and GM Jeff Berding.

The event and a subsequent press conference will take place at Rhinegeist Brewery at 5:30 p.m. ET and will be streamed live (see above).

Cincinnati are one of four cities (along with Nashville, Detroit and Sacramento) selected as finalists among 12 markets that submitted formal bids in January 2017 for a total of four available MLS expansion slots, part of the league's expansion to 28 teams. The four finalists made presentations before the MLS Expansion Committee in December, with Nashville officially awarded an expansion club soon after. Additionally, Miami – long-pursued as an expansion city by a David Beckham-led ownership group – was awarded a team in January.
