Supporters' Shield winners Toronto FC got a leg up in their Eastern Conference Semifinal series with a 2-1 away win over the New York Red Bulls on Monday night. Sebastian Giovinco broke a 72nd minute deadlock with one of his trademark free kicks. RECAP

Houston and Monday night guests Portland opened their Western Conference Semifinal duel by playing to a scoreless draw. Though chances were few and far between, each side did have a penalty shout rejected by the referee. RECAP

The last Conference Semifinal first leg in these Audi 2017 MLS Cup Playoffs will get underway tonight when Columbus Crew SC host New York City FC (8 pm ET | ESPN in USA; TSN and TVAS in Canada).
