Save of the Week

Orlando City's Joe Bendik wins third straight MLS Save of the Week award

Make it eight for Orlando City SC's Joe Bendik.

The MLS Save of the Week presented by Phillips 66 Lubricants has gone to the 27-year-old goalkeeper eight times this season and three weeks in a row after his Week 21 triumph.

His latest award comes for tipping a shot by Charlie Daviesover the bar last Saturday, helping Orlando City preserve their 3-1 lead against the New England Revolution. The Lions would go on to win the game by that scoreline.

Bendik beat Sporting Kansas City's Alec Kann in the final, collecting 62 percent of the vote. He defeated Portland's Jake Gleeson and Montreal's Evan Bush in previous rounds.
