Toronto FC 3, Vancouver Whitecaps 4 | 2016 MLS Match Recap

Kekuta Manneh scored early and late as the Vancouver Whitecaps edged Toronto FC, 4-3, in a Saturday night thriller at BMO Field.

The visitors raced out to a two-goal lead inside the opening 20 minutes: Manneh intercepted a square ball by Damien Perquis and raced toward goal, tapping past Toronto FC goalkeeper Clint Irwin to give the Whitecaps a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute. Christian Bolanos followed six minutes later, doubling Vancouverā€™s lead off a rebound.

Sebastian Giovinco pulled Toronto FC within a goal in the 37th minute, just three minutes after Jozy Altidore had a chance from the penalty spot denied by David Ousted. Altidore left the match with a hamstring injury moments later.

Giovinco eventually leveled in the 66th minute, but Manneh and Pedro Morales each scored in a two-minute span midway through the second half.

Four minutes after Fraser Aird was sent off for his second bookable offense, reducing the Whitecaps to 10 men, Drew Moor scored his first goal for Toronto FC 10 minutes from full time, latching onto a Giovinco at the back post to pull the hosts within 4-3.
