Ousted was the starting goalkeeper for the Whitecaps and emerged as one of the most consistent 'keepers in MLS over the years. A finalist for MLS Goalkeeper of the Year in 2015, the Dane is credited as being a key figure in Vancouver's success. After losing his starting role late in 2017, he will look to start fresh in the U.S. capital.
INTERNATIONAL: Ousted represented the Danish national team on the U-19 level and also received call-ups at the U-20 and U-21 age groups.
OUTSIDE MLS: Prior to joining the Whitecaps, Ousted worked his way up the Danish league ranks. Signing his first professional deal with Brondby IF, he played in brief loan spells at lower division sides Nykøbing, Falster Alliancen, and Akademisk Boldklub. He then moved to Hellerup IK in the Danish second division, before signing with SønderjyskE, then in the second division. He helped them to promotion, then signed for Randers, who were also then in the second division. Ousted also helped that club to promotion to the Danish SuperLiga, then featured for Randers in Europa League qualifiers.
NOTES: Won the 2015 Amway Canadian Championship with Vancouver. He was also voted Etihad Airways Player of the Month for June 2015.
