Team of the Week (Wk 14): Sebastian Giovinco continues outstanding form, scores two on D.C. United

It should come as no surprise to anyone following MLS that Sebastian Giovinco led Toronto FC to another victory on Saturday.

This time his victim was D.C. United, who have one of the stingiest defenses in the league. The Italian maestro rang up two goals at RFK Stadium, both in spectacular fashion, to help Toronto FC collect all three points.

Giovinco now has seven goals and six assists in 12 regular season contests, tied for third in the league in both categories.

Read on to find out who else made the Team of the Week for Week 14:

D: Kendall Waston (Vancouver Whitecaps) – The Costa Rican was immense again, accruing 14 clearances in Vancouver's big road victory at LA.

D: Jorge Villafana (Portland Timbers) - Had a terrific assist on Fanendo Adi’s winner, and did his part in keeping the Revolution off the board.

M: Andres Romero (Montreal Impact) – Contributed to both game-winning goals this week, first assisting Ignacio Piatti on his 83rd minute winner vs. the Whitecaps and then scoring the winner against Crew SC on Saturday night.

F: Will Bruin (Houston Dynamo) Put it a strong performance even before his goals, but the striker made sure Houston’s result against the Red Bulls was not in doubt with a brace.

F: Fanendo Adi (Portland Timbers) – Only played 23 minutes, but made his time count by notching both goals in the Timbers’ win over New England.
