Five MLS players named to Honduras roster for friendlies vs. USMNT, Mexico

Five MLS players have been named to the Honduran national team roster announced Tuesday for their upcoming friendlies in October, including an Oct. 14 matchup against the US men's national team at FAU Stadium in Boca Raton, Fla.


Houston Dynamo midfielders Boniek Garcia and Luis Garrido, San Jose Earthquakes defender Victor Bernardez, Chivas USA midfielder Marvin Chavez and Sporting Kansas City midfielder Jorge Claros will join the team next week to prepare for the friendlies, which also includes an Oct. 10 match against Mexico at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.


Anderlecht midfielder Andy Najar, a D.C. United Academy product and Homegrown player until his transfer to Belgium in January 2013, was also named to the team.
