Could the US national team's backline find itself defending against the world's fastest man once CONCACAF's 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign gets underway?
If Jamaican national team head coach Wilfried Schaefer is shooting the Jamaican media straight and is to be believed, it seems a distinct possibility.
Schaefer recently said the following to a number of Jamaican newspapers about legendary Jamaican track champion Usain Bolt: "I want him on the national team. ... Maybe after the Olympics in Brazil [in 2016], I want to see him in our team."
Bolt was more than happy to respond to Schaefer's proclamation and further fuel the speculation through his official Instagram account by attaching an "anything possible" line to the following photo on Tuesday.
Bolt has frequently spoken out about his love of the beautiful game, as well as his desire to one day play for his beloved Manchester United. He even posted two years ago this video of himself playing in a pick-up game in Jamaica as a plea to former United manager Alex Ferguson to take a chance on him.
Have a look at Bolt's performance in the video and draw your own opinions. He does, of course, wear his signature gold boots on the soccer field, just like he likes his spikes on the track.
Bolt will be 30 years old when he ends his track career, as previously planned.
Two questions: 1) Is it a good idea for Bolt to play for the Reggae Boyz, and 2) If he does, would you be worried about him as a US, Canada or Mexico national team supporter?
