2014 MLS Managers Survey: Can MLS come away with CONCACAF Champions League Crown?

2014 Managers Survey

Prior to opening day, MLSsoccer.com polled the head coaches of each MLS club, who were provided with an anonymous survey featuring an array of questions that many fans have always wanted to ask about the upcoming season.
This week, we’ll tell you how they answered (13 of 19 managers completed the survey). In this installment, the managers weigh MLS' chances in the CONCACAF Champions League.

Will an MLS team win the CONCACAF Champions League this year?

Eight of the 13 managers that answered this poll said that MLS will finally break through and win the CCL this season. These managers are betting against history and the fact that Sporting Kansas City and the San Jose Earthquakes are facing the top two teams in Liga MX.

Perhaps the managers think LA can finally take home the trophy for MLS. They will be facing a struggling Club Tijuana side – one stacked with Americans – in the quarterfinals. This matchup should bring some fireworks with the two teams separated by less than 150 miles.

Plus, if any team has the talent to beat these Liga MX teams, it's likely the Galaxy, who have captured two of the last three MLS Cups and will start the 2014 season as strong as ever after reinforcing in the offseason.
