MLS Fantasy: Four sleepers that can help lead your team to victory in Round 33

Bernardo Anor - Fantasy

With only four rounds left in the MLS Fantasy regular season, every single point becomes that much more important. And in a game full of decisions, what you choose to do – or not do – could cost you everything.

MLSsoccer.com's Andrew Wiebe and Josh Whisenhunt discuss international call-ups and bye week preparation in this week's "Starting Lineup" (above) so have a look before setting your lineup.

Today we're going to look at a few sleepers that could help you get a win in Round 33.

1. Fabio Alves Macedo - $5.0m

  • Team: Philadelphia Union
  • Position: Defender
  • Total Score: 50
  • Owned by: 0.2 percent

Known as Fabinho, this 28-year-old Brazilian has adapted well to MLS since making his debut on July 12. He's played in 11 straight matches since his arrival and appears to have locked down a position in Philadelphia's starting XI.

Fabinho has started the last seven games, logging five or more points in all but two of them. He's an outside midfielder, but is listed in the game as a defender, which means extra bonus points if the Union can come away with a clean sheet.

Fabinho prefers his left foot and excels at crossing. And at $5.0m this is quality player worth taking a flier on, especially with Philadelphia playing well on both sides of the ball as of late.

2. Pa Modou Kah - $4.6m

  • Team: Portland Timbers
  • Position: Defender
  • Total Score: 77
  • Owned by: 0.4 percent

Kah has been a beast for the Portland Timbers as of late. In his last four games he has 59 CBIs and 29 total points. The Timbers have a decent road matchup this week against a struggling Vancouver team, then two at home and a road game against Chivas USA to finish out the season.

3. Bernardo Añor - $4.5m

  • Team: Columbus Crew
  • Position: Midfielder
  • Total Score: 66
  • Owned by: 2.2 percent

Añor made his 2013 MLS debut on June 5, and since then, has played 81 minutes or more in 16 of the last 17 games. He has four goals this season, all of which have come within the last 14 games.

Columbus have a tough home game against Sporting KC, but at $4.5m, Añor gives you the option to spend some extra money elsewhere.

4. Jaime Penedo - $4.9m

  • Team: LA Galaxy
  • Position: Goalkeeper
  • Total Score: 29
  • Owned by: 2.1 percent

I know what you're thinking, Penedo is not a sleeper. I agree, but somehow he's still owned by just 2.1 percent of fantasy owners. He has two clean sheets in six games since his arrival in early August and has Chivas USA on the schedule this week.

He'll likely be leaving for international duty (Panama) next week, but if LA get hot, he could be someone worth hanging onto throughout the postseason.
