American Exports: Gatt helps Molde stay unbeaten at home

AMSTERDAM — A trio of Americans laced up in Norway on Saturday night, with Molde FK winger Josh Gatt setting up the capper off the bench in a 3-1 win over guests Odd Grenland.

The halftime sub was upended in the box by Odd goalkeeper André Hansen just past the hour, drawing a red card along with the penalty foul. Magne Hoseth converted the spot kick for Molde's third as they remained a perfect seven-for-seven at home this season.

The defending champs remained one point behind of league leaders Strømsgodset, who took a 4-0 chunk out of Steve Clark and visiting Hønefoss. The away netminder saw a four-game Tippeligaen unbeaten run ended, but was hardly to blame in allowing multiple goals for just the second time in 13 games this season.

Sean Cunningham and bottom side Stabæk saw their two-game win streak halted by a tough luck 2-1 loss at Brann. The center back had a decent outing until being beaten for a golden late chance that went untaken.
