It's a salivating matchup of incumbent champions: the best of Spain vs. the best of Italy.

And what better place to host such a star-studded affair than Las Vegas.

On Sunday, August 5, recently crowned La Liga champions Real Madrid and newly minted Serie A champions Juventus will square off at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas in the 2012 World Football Challenge. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 pm ET.

The match will be the second of Real Madrid's US preseason tour, coming three days after they face reigning MLS champions LA Galaxy. Juventus will be coming from Washington, D.C., where they face D.C. United on July 28 at RFK Stadium.

Real Madrid, who reached the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League, recently secured their 32nd Spanish title, reaching the 100-point plateau — nine ahead of FC Barcelona.

Juventus, whose struggles over the past decade included relegation to the second division, restaked their claim as the top club in Italy with an undefeated season. The two-time Champions League winners — who boast such stars as Gigi Buffon, Alessandro Matri and Arturo Vidal — beat out AC Milan for the most recent Serie A title, hoisting the league trophy for the 30th time in club history.
