Manchester United forward, and All-Star Game MVP, Federico Macheda, wasted no time in scoring as he tallied just 21 seconds into the match. The Italian added another goal in the 13th minute to give the English side a 2-0 halftime lead.

The Houston Dynamo’s Brian Ching brought the MLS All-stars to within one when he found the back of the net in the 64th minute, but the Red Devils answered just six minutes later. A string of three goals by Darron Gibson, Tom Cleverley, and Javier Hernández in a 14-minute span sealed the win for United.

Dwayne De Rosario beat Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar in the 90th minute to bring the final MLS All-Star deficit to three.

This marks the second time ever, and second consecutive, that the MLS All-Stars have lost, falling to English club Everton FC in penalty kicks last year after drawing 1-1 in regulation. Since beginning to play foreign competition, the MLS All-Stars hold a 5-2 record.
