Salary Cap Challenge kicks off Season Two on July 25

MLSsoccer.com's Salary Cap Challenge has arrived!

Almost time to turn over a new leaf.

For those fans who have not fared so well in the official MLS Salary Cap Challenge thus far, a fresh start is right around the corner. Beginning on July 25, Season One of the Salary Cap Challenge will come to a close and to make way for Season Two, giving everyone a second crack at all the prizes awarded to the Top 100 finishers.

For the uninitiated: Users are provided with $35 million fantasy dollars to build a team of seven players every week with the goal of accumulating the most points in their league and worldwide. With two free trades a week and fluctuating prices based on each player’s on-field production, strategizing is critical. Users can grow their team’s value from $35 million, allowing them to increase their weekly point totals by buying more of the very best players.

The grand prize is a VIP trip for two to the 2012 MLS All-Star Game. First prize is a VIP trip for two to First Kick 2012.

New Season Two leagues can be set up starting today.

And by the way: If the new fantasy season still doesn’t work out, there will also be a Season Three that kicks off on October 24.
