If you want to see the best of MLS take on the best of the English Premier League, you better act fast.
We’re talking Chicharito fast.
Because just days after tickets for the 2011 AT&T MLS All-Star Game—in which the MLS All-Stars will take on EPL champions Manchester United and their Mexican superstar Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez—went on sale to the general public, there are only a handful of individual tickets left.
According the New York Red Bulls, this is the last opportunity for MLS fans to purchase individual tickets to the marquee match, which will take place on July 27 at Red Bull Arena.
This year marks the first time the MLS All-Star Game has been held in the Big Apple since 1997, and the eighth time that the All-Star team will take on a foreign club. Until last year’s loss to Man. United, the MLSers were unbeaten against foreign competition. They now have a 5-1-1 record, though the draw, a 1-1 result with Everton, was “lost” in penalties.
The 2011 AT&T MLS All-Star Game will be broadcast on ESPN2 and Galavision in the United States and on TSN in Canada.
