FC Dallas announced this week that the destination for the annual academy spring break trip would be Madrid, Spain.

The U-16 and U-18 Academy sides will go up against academy sides of Getafe, Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid, with a fourth opponent yet to be determined.

Both teams will leave Texas on March 15, and return just over a week later on March 23. While based in Madrid, FCD will train at the Ciudad de Fútbol, the home base of the World Cup champion Spanish national team.

Along with training and playing, the youngsters will get to take in El Derbi Madrileño (the Madrid derby) on March 20 at Vicente Calderón, Atlético’s home stadium. They’ll also take a tour of Real Madrid’s stadium Santiago Bernabéu.

FC Dallas’ academy has produced six Home Grown players for the club, the most in MLS.
