Vancouver reveal 2011 kits and announce Bell partnership

Vancouver Whitecaps went with their traditional white jerseys and "deep-sea" blue trim.

Although no one knows what formation the Vancouver Whitecaps will play next year when they join MLS, we now know what they will look like.

On Thursday, the club unveiled their new kits and announced a new deal with Bell to be their Premier Founding Partner. The new kit includes the Bell logo on the jersey.

“The new kits combine leading-edge technology, which will make for optimal performance on the pitch, while at the same time paying tribute to the many traditions that Whitecaps FC have established over the years," explained Whitecaps FC President Bob Lenarduzzi. "Soccer fans around the world take great pride in displaying their passion and loyalty for their favourite team by wearing their team's jersey on a regular basis. We believe both our many long-serving fans and new supporters of the club will proudly wear these new jerseys throughout Vancouver or wherever they may be around the globe."

Vancouver is set to join MLS in 2011, becoming the second Canadian team in the league. The Portland Timbers are also joining at the same time.

The Bell partnership features the delivery of exclusive content about the Whitecaps on smartphones, including live matches, behind-the-scenes access to Whitecaps players and coaches and other mobile applications. Also, Bell will provide $100,000 per year to the Whitecaps Foundation to support youth initiatives in British Columbia.
