Toronton FC wraps up in Brandenton victorious

Toronto FC's final game of their preseason trip to Bradenton Florida wrapped up with an emphatic 4-0 victory over IMG Academy.


Edson Buddle recorded his second hat trick in Florida by scoring twice in the first half, and adding his third in the second. His first three goal game came against Lynn University in Fort Lauderdale during Toronto's inaugural trip down to the Sun Coast in mid-February.
Carl Robinson scored his first goal for Toronto connecting just before the final whistle blew. Robinson did not play in the game against Notre Dame on Wednesday, due to a minor knock to his ankle. Robinson will leave Toronto's camp Saturday to attend to National Team duty with Wales, as they play two Euro 2008 Qualifiers, (Republic of Ireland, and San Marino). Robinson returns to Toronto April 1st.
Ronnie O'Brien saw his first game action in some time back from a knee injury. O'Brien played close to 75 minutes. Also back from minor injuries were Abbe Ibrahim, and Richard Asante (heat exhaustion).
Jon Busch played the first half in goal for TFC, while Tomer Chencinski helped combine for the clean sheet playing the entire second half.
Toronto FC will enjoy a weekend off before departing for Charleston, South Carolina where they will compete in the Carolina Cup Challenge beginning March 24th. Their first game will be against the Defending MLS Cup Champs Houston Dynamo that day.
Toronto kicks off their inaugural MLS season April 7 in Los Angeles against Chivas USA.
