CARSON, Calif. - The Chivas USA Reserves (1-0-1, 4 pts) defeated the New York Red Bulls Reserves (1-1-0, 3 pts) by a 4-0 scoreline this morning at The Home Depot Center's University Field 1. This time, a long pass from goalkeeper Preston Burpo to Sánchez was taken by the former Chivas USA U-19 player and drilled home for Chivas USA's 3-0 lead. Finally, in the 57th, Budnyy scored from 15 yards out to seal the deal for Chivas USA.

This was the first Reserve Division win this season for the Chivas USA Reserves, following a 2-2 draw with the Real Salt Lake Reserves in their first game of the 2006 campaign.
