NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION HEAD COACH STEVE NICOL

On his team's performance overall:
"I think as far as the effort is concerned, I can't ask for anything more. Some of the decisions we made during the game weren't the best, whether it was defensively or attack wise, but we have a bunch of [young players] playing, as well. I think it is easy for us to sit on the side and complain, and want them to do this or that. They just don't know and that takes time. There is just a lot of stuff we could have done better, but a lot has to do with lack of experience."

On Matt Reis' performance:
"It was a good day in the office for him. We talk about goalies staying tall and staying big and he did that all day. He always looked comfortable and when he needed to, he made the saves. He was big today. It's something we know he is capable of and something we expect of him."

On Amaechi Igwe's late withdrawal:
"Well, you go from playing Steve Ralston off the front guy to playing left back, you don't get much different than that. Plus the fact that he had to play 90 minutes. We didn't intend to play him 90 minutes because he's missed a lot of training. He's only been back this week so he's only had three days of training. We didn't want to expose him to 90 minutes, but we had no choice."

On his thoughts about bringing in Gabriel Badilla:
"Gabby (Badilla) is not fit enough to cope with the pace of the game. Badilla is not injured, but he hasn't kicked the ball for nine months. He has no preseason behind him and he has only trained properly for two weeks. He's not ready to step into the pace of the game."

On Kenny Mansally and Sainey Nyassi attacking fullbacks:
"I think that we try to do that all the time. The problem is that we don't move the ball quick enough or control it well enough, but certainly that's what we try to do. We want to get it to their feet so they can do that. It was a lot of small stuff that eventually causes you problems."

NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION MIDFIELDER NICO COLALUCA

On his entry into the game:
"I feel I brought some energy to the game, I had a couple chances... the team had a couple more chances towards the end of the game. We're really desperate for three points -- we've got a bunch of games in hand, we're happy to get a point here - but we really would have liked three (points)."

NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION GOALKEEPER MATT REIS

On his 11-save performance:
"With all the changes and all the players being out, we have to play to zero and make sure we're not allowing teams to score because we're having trouble scoring right now. Eleven saves is 11 saves. You're at home, so hopefully I wouldn't have to make 11 saves. But it's nice to be able to help the team out."

On the play of Steve Ralston at left back:
"Steve's a great player and he showed tonight that you could put him at any position on the field and he'll do well."

On the injury situation:
"We're running out of players, so anytime someone else goes down, it just puts another strain on the rest of the guys."

On teammate Jay Heaps starting for the national team:
"It's a great honor any time you can represent your country. For a guy that's given so much to soccer, and for all the years that he's played, it's a great honor for him, especially to get (his first-ever cap) here in New England."

KANSAS CITY WIZARDS HEAD COACH CURT ONALFO

On his team's performance:
"We were away from home and just played seven games in 20 days, five of which have been on the road. We played as far west as you possible can and pretty much as far east as you possibly can. It's been a long stretch and the fact that our guys were able to be as strong as they were in the second half is a real positive sign. We got through the stretch without any injuries, which is not an easy task. Unfortunately, we walk away here with one point when we thought we could have had more today. We had enough chances to win the game and we thought we fell short in that category. We've been having problems putting the ball in the back of the net in the last couple of weeks..."

On Matt Reis:
"He had an excellent game. There is no two ways about it. He has obviously found his form. He had some injuries early on, but he's one of the best goalkeepers the league has seen as far as I'm concerned. He never makes poor decisions. He is just an excellent 'keeper and I think you saw that today."

On Lance Watson's ejection:
"I was disappointed. I think it was a late challenge, but not one that warranted an ejection. Whenever you have those situations, you put the referee in a position where he has to make a decision. I think it was unfortunate. We've been on the receiving end of it an awful lot of it this year, where we've played with an extra player, so we had to buckle down and not let them score. I think we did a good job of managing that part of it and actually got ourselves a chance or two."

KANSAS CITY WIZARDS MIDFIELDER JACK JEWSBURY

On the result:
"It seems like we had a couple chances coming off their mistakes in the first half, and in the second half I thought we were good enough to get one. Obviously he (Matt Reis) had some good saves. At the end of the day we have to be a little bit better in front of goal. It was a tough one, we wanted to come in here and really pick up some points, especially with how tight it is in the Eastern Conference. It's not the end of the world with one point, but we would have obviously liked to get three."

On Kansas City's success at Gillette Stadium:
"We've been very successful here. In the last six or seven years, I think we've done fairly well ... it's just unfortunate we weren't able to get another one here. I think we could've held them off ... we were pretty solid defensively all night so they didn't get too many chances. Any time you can get a point on the road it's OK, but I really think tonight maybe we got the better of things."

On the performance of goalkeeper Matt Reis:
"He made a number of saves, and quite a few of them, they weren't just in his chest. He was all over the place, and kudos for a great game. I wish we could have slipped one past him."
