Lucky fans get a 'taste' of BMO Field

Toronto FC plans to provide fans with food options from all parts of the world.

It was an all-out feast for a few random Toronto FC season ticket holders on Friday, as they were invited to a special tasting of some 'prospective' dishes that might just be on hand this season at BMO Field.

The evening was hosted by Michael Doyle, the director of food and beverage for Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd.; Paul Beirne, Toronto FC director of team operations, and executive chef Brad Long. The tasting extravaganza took place in the Air Canada Centre's Hot Stove Lounge.

'Taste Testers' were invited to try every item, and on the form provided, give their honest written opinions on whether or not they would consider ordering it off the menu.

Pacing oneself was key, as the food kept coming. There's a good chance 90 percent of these items will be coming to a concession stand near you at BMO Field this spring. The menu was full of diverse foods from all different cultural backgrounds, which is what we believe makes up the core of Toronto FC soccer fans. We will be looking forward to serving up a taste of every corner of the world - along with the classic favourites - coming this April.
